About
My name is Sandra Wilde. I am a Clinical Therapist in Mississauga, with a work history spanning almost three decades. My passion for working with and helping people emerged early in my career in Human Resources. This lead me to return to university and attain my MSW. Since then, I've had extensive training and experience as a Clinical Social Worker, providing therapeutic support in children's mental health, community and healthcare settings. I continue to find great joy in providing individual, couple and family therapy through my private practice. I believe in the strengths of the individual and the family and I am committed to providing a compassionate and trusting place, where my clients feel supported and encouraged to achieve their goals.
In 1993, I received my Masters in Social Work. I am a member of the Ontario College of Certified Social Workers and Social Service workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
I draw upon several therapeutic approaches to help meet the needs of each and every client. These include cognitive/behavioural, emotionally focused, and attachment theories. I also participate in regular consultation and professional development to ensure my clients receive the best possible service.
Currently, I live in Mississauga with my husband and two almost adult children, one of whom has been diagnosed with ADD and Learning Disabilities. This experience has helped to hone my skills and increase my understanding of the challenges and complexities of family life.
